     Prevention Specialist – Russellville

    We are accepting resumes for a Prevention Specialist to cover Pope, Johnson, and Yell Counties. The Prevention Specialist provides outreach and public awareness related to the prevention and cessation of tobacco use; educates others through prevention efforts to effectively decrease the use of tobacco; follows a work plan and grant objectives, and completes monthly documentation and reporting.

     

    Applicants should have a Bachelor’s Degree in a health services or related field, experience in outreach and public speaking, will have reliable transportation with a good driving record, and must be willing to work some evenings and weekends. Due to the nature of this position, current tobacco users are not qualified.

    Secretary – Russellville

    We are accepting resumes for a secretary in the Russellville office.  The secretary is an integral part of the office team and is responsible for receiving all clients and visitors,  opening referrals, answering and routing telephone calls, composing/typing letters and memos, maintaining files and records, assisting in billing activities and reports, and appointment scheduling.

     

    We are seeking applicants with experience in administrative/secretarial duties, including proficiency with a variety of office machines, preferably with longevity in a current or recent position. The ideal candidate will be a quick learner, organized, efficient, and professional in dealing with a variety of stakeholders. This is a fast-paced, detail-oriented position. Experience with HIPAA protected information and electronic medical records will be helpful.

    Youth Justice Caseworker – Independence County

    We are seeking applicants for a Youth Justice Caseworker to work in Independence County.  The Youth Justice Caseworker provides one-on-one client intervention services and facilitates delivery of group psycho-educational curricula. The Youth Justice Caseworker is responsible for assisting with all aspects of the restitution, tracking program related-outcomes, developing work sites for the restitution program, and directly supervising youth completing such work. Successful candidates will be available to work evenings and weekends as needed and will be able to provide community outreach and education regarding the aspects of the program. Must be flexible, highly motivated, and enjoy working with at-risk youth in a supportive environment. Must also believe in the capacity for individuals to grow and change.

    Half -Time Positions – Conway(3), Russellville (2), Morrilton (1), Clarksville (1), Clinton (1)

     

    CSI Mentoring and Tutoring AmeriCorps half-time members will serve up to five students at a time by providing five hours of direct contact with the students.  At least three hours must be in a tutoring session at least one hour in a mentoring session.   Sessions may occur at the CSI office, schools, or public facilities approved by the program director.  Students currently struggle with reading, math and English/writing.  In addition students are in need of quality and sustained mentoring services. Members will help at least 50% of student improve their academic scores within one year.

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Members must have knowledge in reading, mathematics, English and/or writing.  Members will be required to have basic computer skills, reliable transportation with car insurance, enjoy working with youth and have a passion for service.

    Academic and Experience Qualifications: Members must have a least a GED or High School diploma and either be enrolled currently in a course of study relating to reading, English, writing and/or mathematics  or have a bachelor degree in a related field of study.  Experience with youth is encouraged.

    Commitment Required: Members will start service October 6, 2018, and end June 28, 2019. Members will be required to have 900 service hours by June 28, 2019.  Members will serve approximately 24 hours per week.
