    Licensed Clinical Therapist – Heber Springs

    We are in the process of opening an office in Heber Springs, as we expand into the 16th Judicial District and are seeking applicants for a full-time Licensed Clinical Therapist in our Heber Springs location.  Applicants must have a master’s degree in social work, counseling psychology, or related field. Must also be licensed or eligible for licensure as an LMSW, LCSW, LAC, LPC, LMFT, or LPE.

     

    This position will be stationed in Heber Springs, and will travel as needed to other areas within the 16th and 20th Judicial Districts.  Qualified applicants will be highly motivated and enjoy working with at-risk youth and their families.

     Prior Authorization Clerk – Morrilton

     

    We are currently accepting resumes for an experienced full-time Prior Authorization Clerk (PA Clerk) to assist in the completion of PA requests and tracking of authorizations, assessments, and tier determinations, and may work in close communication with PASSEs, Care Coordinators, and Insurance Companies. The PA Clerk may also cross train to assist the billing department.

     

    Qualified applicants will have a high school diploma and knowledge of Microsoft computer programs, including Excel; the ability to work within electronic medical records; the ability to create and maintain spreadsheets; strong typing skills, and the ability to effectively send and receive information, both orally and electronically.      Youth Mentor/Tutor – AmeriCorps Member, Half Time or Reduced Half Time

     

    We are currently seeking Half-Time (24 hours a week) and Reduced Half-Time (17 hours a week) AmeriCorps Members for our Youth Mentoring and Tutoring program. CSI is nationally accredited by the Council on Accreditation for mental health, day treatment, substance abuse treatment and therapeutic foster care. CSI operates 7 family service clinics throughout west central Arkansas. At CSI no child is denied services based on inability to pay.

     

    Service Position Title: Youth Mentor/Tutor AmeriCorps Half-Time Member

    Purpose: The mission of the Community Service, Inc. Youth Mentoring and Tutoring program is to promote academic success in reading, English/writing, and mathematics and provide positive learning experiences for youth through mentoring and tutoring services.

     

    Service Position Summary:

    CSI Mentoring and Tutoring AmeriCorps half-time members will serve up to five students at a time by providing five hours of direct contact with the students. At least three hours must be in a tutoring session at least one hour in a mentoring session. Sessions may occur at the CSI office, schools, or public facilities approved by the program director. Students currently struggle with reading, math and English/writing. In addition students are in need of quality and sustained mentoring services. Members will help at least 50% of students improve their academic scores within one year.

     

    Essential Functions of Position:

    * Members will provide at least three hours of tutoring services in English, writing, reading or math for up to five students each week.

    * Members will provide at least one hour of a mentoring activity each week with up to five students.

    * Members will conduct orientation sessions with new students and their parents in the program after receiving admission paperwork from program director.

    * Members will serve in group service projects on national service days including Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day and AmeriCorps service week. These projects will be directed by the program director with input from members and the Arkansas Service Commission.

     

    Access to Vulnerable Populations: The Arkansas Service Commission has determined that the probability of access to vulnerable populations is so great that all members will undergo all required criminal history checks: NSOPW, FBI, and Arkansas State Police, as well as other states, as necessary. In addition, CSI will also conduct a drug screening within 24 hours of offering a service position.

     

    Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required: Members must have knowledge in reading, mathematics, English and/or writing. Members will be required to have basic computer skills, reliable transportation with car insurance, enjoy working with youth and have a passion for service.

    Academic and Experience Qualifications: Members must have at least a GED or High School diploma and either be enrolled currently in a course of study relating to reading, English, writing and/or mathematics or have a bachelor degree in a related field of study. Experience with youth is encouraged.

     

    Commitment Required: Members will start service October 6, 2018, and end June 28, 2019. Half Time Members will be required to have 900 service hours by June 28, 2019. Members will serve approximately 24 hours per week. Reduced Half Time Members will be required to have 675 service hours by June 28, 2019 and will serve approximately 17-18 hours per week.

     

    Orientation and Training:

    * Orientation / Training – Members will receive information on AmeriCorps and CSI history, CNCS prohibited and unallowable activities, review of the member service agreement and position description. In addition members will receive training on online reporting tools, safety techniques, tutoring techniques, and mentoring activities. CSI policies and procurers will also be reviewed pertaining to the CSI Mentoring and Tutoring program.

    * In addition members will be trained throughout the year on First Aid/CPR, Crisis Prevention Intervention, Resume Writing, Interview Skills and Networking Skills.

     

    AmeriCorps Program Benefits (HALF TIME MEMBERS):

    * Living allowance awarded biweekly of $378.95 (First Living allowance awarded Oct. 26, 2018)

    * Education Award amount of $2,960.00 (Awarded after service completion)

    * Student loan forbearance while in service.

    * Travel reimbursement for approved travel at .41 cents per mile.

    * For members age 55 and over the ability to pass education award to child, grandchild or foster child.

    * Valuable training and experience serving youth.

    * The honor of being an AmeriCorps Alumni.

     

    AmeriCorps Program Benefits (REDUCED HALF TIME MEMBERS):

    * Living allowance awarded biweekly of $284.21 (First Living allowance awarded Oct. 26, 2018)

    * Education Award amount of $2,255.24 (Awarded after service completion)

    * Student loan forbearance while in service.

    * Travel reimbursement for approved travel at .41 cents per mile.

    * For members age 55 and over the ability to pass education award to child, grandchild or foster child.

    Evaluation and Reporting:

    * Members will be given a mid-term evaluation the beginning of February

    * Members will be given an end of term evaluation at the end of their service or June 28, 2019.

    * Members will be required to submit weekly schedules for the week prior by end the of the current service week

    * Members will plan their service schedule and submit to the site supervisor by the Friday before the new service week.

    * Members will log their service hours in OnCorps and submit paper service logs to the site supervisor for approval by the Friday following their service.

    * Members will submit travel reimbursement requests by the third of the following month to their site supervisor for approval.

    * Members will keep notes on their service and review these at weekly meetings with their site supervisor and/or program director.

    * Members will attend quarterly program and training meetings with their program director.
